Welding gas

Need to hire out a gas bottle.

Anyone have any suggestions for competitively-priced bottles of Argon (other than BOC)?

BOC is overly priced and arent very helpfull....

how much do u need? u could always buy those small bottles which are handy cos u can carry them around.. they are about $30 from repco and will do a decent job.. they are throw away too once u have finished with them.

Johny you've obviously never used them before! They last for about 1m worth of continuous weld. IE FK ALL! I'd have to go through probably 20 of them just to weld up an exhaust!

LOL i have the biggest industrial argon bottle you can get.. at homes.. i use that for home duties,..

but i have used the little bottles before.. they arent as bad as you think lolz..

but yer if your doing an exhaust your best bet is to call supagas.. from memory its about $50 + 5 a month for the smallest bottles you can get which would probably be plenty for you.

Yeh I've used 3-4 disposable bottles. Would not recommend to anyone.

be good if any1 can post up all the prices, like how much is it to refill and how much is it per month to hire..

as im gonna need one for a mig and one for tig soon.. thanks boys save me running around later when i need it =]

oh i forgot to mention you'll need an ABN to hire them too.. which i use hire with BOC back then..

Yeh supagas ftw. but that said both BOC and supagas has similar prices. Would have rather just opened up a BOC account for the convenience factor.
