Well jon's story beats mine but its funny anyway...
My clutch shit itself the other week so i decided it was time to fix it. So organised a clutch etc etc... after that it gets fun
hire a trailer tried to get it up there an the ramps were too steep so it was gunna beach so we piss farted around blocked off a street an used the gutter to get the height tied her down an off we went...

Somewear on the westgate freeway we get a wicked shutter thru the car so we pull over check it all sweet all good. Keep on goin now out on the eastern bout 20mins from AFAS an all of a sudden a wheel goes rollin by an other people are beepin like crazy so we slow down an pull in an havin just sheared a wheel stud an lost a wheel the trailer drops grabs the road an jumps now ive seen some sweet jumps in WRC but i never thought my evo could do it, up she went an crashed back down.

I freaked pulled over, wheel gone the car had moved bout a foot across the trailer it nearly went bye bye, but luckily it had some super scout knots an all sort of crazy stuff holdin it down so i took it off an limped it to AFAS an its been there ever since now just waitin for a CLUTCH!(JONNY)....

Haha those trailers are notoriously dodgey.

On the way to pick up my vr4 which was stranded on the coast. Driving along a flat straght road the brakes locked on and snapped off on the trailer!! Had to drive over the clyde with a 1400KG car with no assisted braking

Funny cause i'm not sensing it! Shit happens and you just gotta accept it. By running around and sueing everyone something doesn't go our way isn't gonna achieve much! His car made it to AFAS in the end and no one was hurt!

It was your trailer wasn't it :D

Nope. But we all have bad days and just cause something goes wrong there is no need to take it to the courts. Now if that wheel had of flown off into the path of an oncoming car and killed the occupants then they would have a case, but no one was hurt so i don't see the need to take this any further. Becuase all it does is raise the hirer's insurnace premiums which in turm raise the hire charge and stuffs it for everyone. it would be a much better approach to go back to the hirer, explain what happened, and ask for your money back.

Yeah and im sure if it was you in the situation you would do something about it!

Indeed I would. Especially if the trailer was hired as it means it was ill-kept.

I'd be having the chassis checked for damage along with every other part of the driveline and suspension.
