It needs to be the HSG, not the SG, but thanks for checking it out for me, and I really appreciate the forwarding offer.

oh yea, got ya, not the most educated in the rvr department
well shout out if ya need a hand gettin one over here,

Thanks guys, yes I've been scouring trademe and have already contacted the ones listed here, no luck so far. They all have the oval type, not the round type, except for two of them that are missing the intake pipe. Ditto for the QLD one, it is the oval one. It has to be the HSG part, not the standard RVR one.

I can't easily make a part as I'm 4 hours away from the car and have nothing to go off, can't use a pod as I have to get the car Blue-Slipped.

If someone has the part they could loan me so I had a 'template' to work off, I'd be happy to pay them well for the trouble.

If anyone has a photo of the pipe as well, it would really help with getting one, often the wreckers have no idea what they are looking for and a photo would really help heaps.

Its got me beat, about it being round on the AFM end as the EPC diagrams show it as oval on a HSG RVR and even on a SG RVR N/A
anyway heres some pics below to give you an idea....but now that i think about it again, it was round also on the HSG I used to own.
2 options ... to change your AFM to oval or perhaps you could adapt a intake pipe from a GSR 1.8L as they are round ended also at the AFM.

Thanks for those pics.
Yeah it is weird, the 787 AFM has the round end, the others don't. Makes it hard to find the correct part number when the EPC diagrams are wrong.

Try Tim at ecmlink. He may be able to tell you if the 787 is interchangable with one of the round ones.
Like he was saying that the 055 (evo) is pretty much the same as the oval (609) magna one. No ecm link adjustments are required.

Or maybe get the common round afm parts and the matching ecu (checking injectors are same as yours). I know this may add $100 to the total. But it may get you going

At this stage $100 is not an issue. I'll check it out, thanks.

Interestingly, I've found out that the bottom part of the intake pipe is the same on both the SG & the HSG, just the top part is different.

You got the numbers around the wrong way...609 is Evo...055 is Magna.

I have also a round one on my HSGR.

Looks like the sheep farmers have found me one, that request a part service is great.

Thats great :) Im glad that NZ link helped you out.

Just in case you didnt know, a bit of turbo info also on the RVR.

The auto's run a TDO4 15g and the manual's run a TD05 18g I got told.

For what I've read the auto's produce 230 hp.
And the manual's produce 250 hp.

I don't know which parts make the difference. But a different turbo and ECU mapping would explain it.
I have a manual. When I have it back I'll check which turbo mine runs.

Thanks guys, I got the parts and the car is running. I now need to get the Dash and Headlight looms for the auto to work properly, but I'm getting closer.

Try Amayama trading in Japan for new parts. They have a good catalogue system

Many other places on the interweb..

Also download the Parts list here http://lilevo.com/asa/ (You need the japA and B files)

For info on how to set it up go here
http://www.4gtuner.c...ps-replacement/

You will find most of the parts have standard Mitsubishi part numbers.(Engine bits anyway) which can make them easier to find.
