This is just for my own interest sake!

Now we all know that every motor is different and different mods will yeild different results.

But what is your MAX ignition timing at say PSI vs IGN Timing @ 5500 and 7500 rpm and what Fuel?

eg: mine is 20psi - 12 Deg @ 5500 - 16 Deg @ 7500 - E/Flex E75

It isn't a bragging thing! I just would like to know what timing people are getting out of there engines.

you can chime in here Tim with your 26deg @36 psi <-- he will be bragging!

Engine and components make a difference so you should list them as we'll.
I'm at 11 deg at 28psi - 4500 rpm and 17deg 28psi - 8000 rpm although being a 4G93 mivec to will be different to you 4G63 boys.
United E85.

Regards
Jason

yes engine does! you are almost a Suzuki Cappuccino smaller than me :p

we are waiting for United up here to get their E85 pumps. much better then the E70 - E85 (maybe) from Caltex

The united stuff is good but doesn't make fuck all difference compared to the fuel flex. You really need to know what turbo to compare ignition numbers. Have a look at a factory Evo 8 timing map, it a good one to start with on E85 .

Meh Troy, I don't have my laptop to look at but I've wound mine back a bit to around 21 at the top end.
Engine has a Stock bottom end (been running E85 and those sorts of numbers for over 2 years on this engine)
Turbo is a PTE 6262 with. .82 rear running at around 35psi or so.

I get my E85 from Phil at Motorsport fuels, it generally tests at E92 or so.

I'm not that interested in what the engine has done to it as lets face it No 2 engines are identical and even if they were the numbers are going to be different every time.
thats why the mods dont really matter.
I'm just interested it how high the numbers can go on ethanol vs PULP
we all know you can wind boost into an engine Tims VR4 is a good example @ 36psi but lets face it.
knock is knock and eventually it will destroy something. I know cars with 45psi but they are only running 8deg at 8500 rpm and are on the threshold of MBT (drag)

It is purely for intrest sake.

Yes every set ups different but you need to know the turbo and boost to even get it ball park close, that s the biggest variable. Ill tell you what 40+psi timing looks like in the next few weeks after I put a second pump in. Any chance you could post your timing map or a log Brisvr4?? cheers
