I was using the jumbuck radiator, but it's now shagged. So I need to get another. But the engine will be getting changed and I don't want to buy another radiator.
I have a Gsr rad support so I can use the full width radiators. The engine will be the 2.4 6bolt, the turbo a gt35r. Manifold Is a 6boost (I think).

How much room for the radiator will I have, will a 2 row rad fit?
I reckon the fans won't fit at all, unless someone knows otherwise

it depends on the location of the turbo on the engine, you need to be carful you dont buy
one and then find when you fit the new setup it hits the radiator.
You may find you need to have the radiator under the radiator support to clear the turbo

I second that - with my GTX3076R and external 44mm w'gate on a steampipe manifold I had no chance in heck of being able to use a half decent alloy radiator mounted in the factory location as there was no way it would fit. I chopped the center portion of my upper rad support out between the mounting points for the factory radiator mounting tabs and ended up getting a custom radiator made up that sits on the lower radiator support member. I'll have to make up another center portion of the upper radiator support panel but that's not a big deal.

If you're keeping your car road rego'd you won't be allowed to touch the rad support panel (I'd even be cautious about removing the bonnet latch support strap that runs up/down) as it is critical for front end impact performance.

You could look at modifying the support strap so that it sits further outboard and gives you a bit more room and then have a radiator made up that sits nicely in the panel or even look at what PAD4G63 did with his (refer his Member's Ride Thread "Another GSR") as that looks like a very tidy and legal solution.

For fans, you can use a slimline as a puller (preferred) or even mount it on the other side as a pusher. With my new (custom built) radiator, I can get a SPAL 11" thermo on the driver side of the rad as a puller.

6boost manifold does sit really close to an aftermarket radiator..on my previous III it was so close it dented my radiator (PWR) even with ralliart solid F & R mounts however Kyle from 6boost said his jig hadn't changed from his first model which on my current Gsr has more room so explain that?
If your not running air con why not get a custom that fits inside the radiator support?

Thanks for the input.
I had a thread before that asked about radiators under the support bar, and there is some good input there too.
But at that time I don't think I needed to buy a radiator.
As said above, I'm not that keen to be buying 2 radiators after finding a stocker is too fat. No problem with fans, can run a pusher if needed, or if puller doesn't fit.
Maybe a 2 row stocker or a cheap single row?
I know, a 2 row with a hole in it for the turbo. Lol.

I've used a MR2 alloy radiator, with some shaving of the brackets on top of radiator, it fits under the radiatotor support. Although it is a cross flow radiator so i had to fab up a custom j-pipe out of the water pump. This pic is the clearance i now have, as before it would rub on radiator under hard bakes i assume, cos i ended up with a dinted radiator and obviously run a pusher fan, but a draw fan would still on the LHS.

LOL I think I had one on both sides on my old III because I wanted to keep the air con but it was tight as

I have this exact setup in my car ( 6 bolt 4G63T; GT3582R, 6 Boost manifold ). I just used the stock radiator and have two slimline thermo fans: one pushing, one pulling. It is a tight fit so anything much thicker than the stock radiator will struggle...

i don't even have a custom Mani and the 93t plus td05 required a slim rad fan to fit obviously i'm not going quite as insane as some of you but i have to agrees these bays are tighter than a nuns arse
