What to buy for the price? Td06-20g vs gt3076r

Hi guys,

So I'm looking at a couple turbos a guy has for sale on Gumtree.

He's got a td06-20g for$600 not sure how old but he also has the gt3076r that's 10k old up for $1200. Is the gt3076 going to be worth double the coin? He's got a gsr and has been selling parts he upgraded to further upgrade. He also got an intercooler kit to fit the rvr coz he had one as well...

3076 will make much more power (300kw plus)

20g approx 200kw to 250kw.

Pending how much you want to spend.
The Gt30 will also allow you to go to any T3 flanged turbo also.

Well the guy on gumtree has the flange and manifold all right to go so that's not a worry. I'm more so worried about when boost will come on. The 20g will be much more responsive but the gt30 will have the top end.

My goal for the car is to beat V8s 0-100 plain and simple. It won't be tracked. It won't be on the drag strip. Just a daily that will see boost a couple times a drive and otherwise will be driving to conserve fuel. IE; under 3000rpm changes which I have been doing even 2500rpm changes it doesn't phase me.

But my worry is that the gt3076 will be too laggy to "catch up" also the extra stress on the clutch being a standard exceedy. I might have to work on getting a clutch kit if there's any recommendations but a cheapy down the line that will serve my purpose

The 3076 with a 0.63 rear will have no issue at all.

Yeah that's what I ended up doing I picked up the 3076 and he threw in the intercooler kit! Bonus!!

Yeah crazy good turbo. I have had ppl male 30kw atw more than me with the 0.86.housing take a ride in my car and have changed rear housing cos of it
