What would you do?

Wife wants a new car.. Evo 4 or Evo 6

I currently have 2 cars.

1 x CB lancer NA
1 x VR4

Now here is the part i am considering

A) Sell the VR4, bank the cash (Anywhere between say 7k - 10k) reg/rwc etc. Wait 6 months. Sell the wifes car (6k - 9k) and buy an evo 6.

B) Sell the Lancer (3k - 4.5k), wait 6 months. Sell the wifes car (6k - 9k) and buy an Evo 4.

Now. I like both the 6 and 4. Obviously 6 is the nicer of the two, but was thinking that if the 4 were to be the choice of car, then I can straight away do the mods that she wants. ie; coil overs, wheels, Filter, Power FC, Larger Turbo, Full exhaust and get her the 200+ kw @ wheels that she wants. Also i end up with a turbo car aswell.

The alternative leaves me in my NA Lancer and her in an EVO 6, and wait a few months and do the same mods.

The 4 is more of the blend in option as there are so many ricers out there with evo 4 kits that her car wont stick out as much, just another ricer on the road, well, little do they know its real.

The 6 sort of stands out on the road and may attract some unwanted attention from police and individuals.

So i wouldnt mind seeing what other people would consider doing in my situation.

If it was me, I would keep the VR4 and put a VR4 motor in the CB, but that's just me!

Evo 4's were a bit problematic weren't they?

An Evo 6 would be nice, but I wouldn't drive an N/A Lancer so my missus could drive an Evo, other way round maybe! :lol:

if u have to wait a few months buy a 6 with the mods in question already done and start savin so u can keep the vr4 aswell...find a happy comprimise u need boost too

Nah its her turn to have a new car.. I have had.. hrmmm 9 cars to her... 2..

So, to compromise she can get herselg whatever she wanted.

The choices i gave her based on what she wanted "SOMETHING FAST" was fairly easy.

R32 GTR
R33 GTR
EVO 4
EVO 5
EVO 6
WRX STI
Legnum VR4

She said no to everything.. except the Evo models LOL

Soooo.. either way. ill get to drive it on weekends LOL

but i think ill try keep teh VR4 and just save up as much as we can in 6 months.. Then see what we have to play with..

his asking 27.5k with everything including the te37s.

or 25k with some stock evo wheels.

someone has offered 24.5k already but is waiting on bank approval.

so im sure u can get in on it

Well. it would get looked after by myself / wife.. But just dont have the funding at the moment.. Else, it would have been sold by now

Get the E6 for the Mrs mate as it's a little more forgiving on the road and safer all round for women drivers. Us guys can stick to the old skool as we appreciate the older model cars better IMO.
