Ok so I'm installing my new intercooler and the pipes on the drivers side break off into a T and one goes into what looks like a container that leads no where i cant find anything on the interwebs that tells me what its for but my new kits doesnt have the T so it wont be connected anyway. can someone tell me what it does please?
I'll post a couple of pics,
cheers

if it is the big box that is under the bumper on the drivers side.....it is just a resonator to deaden the induction noise. It can be removed but there will be a slight amount of noise as a result

ok so yay it finally let me upload pics, i duno if its what you guys are suggesting could be wrong , its definately not a BOV though

you can take it out or leave it in there.....it isnt going to net huge gains in HP. It would only be worth taking out to remove weight from the car in my book.

Fark, havent seen one of those in years. Its usually one of the first things people take off the engine :)

yeah make the resonator box go away!... think that is somthing that gets filled with boost, that could be going into the motor all that much earlier!

Just keep it for the vintage factor mate! Im sure it'll both abit when some one wants to restore their evo to OEM spec
