Will the following fit comfortably on a EVO II with a 205/50/15 tyre

15" by 6"
Offset is +40

you should be fine, i get a little scrub at full lock with 205/65 gravel tyres..

I have 18x8's and dont have much trouble with 215x35's

15x6 should be sweet

make sure they arent staggered. meaning all 4 wheels are same size and offset.

I run 205/50/15 on my standard Evo 1 rims, Toyo Proxes R1R, and they seem pretty fat compared to other 205s I've seen. Evo 1 rim is 15 x 6, offset is 38 i think? Should be sweet I reckon.

stock evo 1 rims are +45 or +46 offset.

+40 may get close to the tab on the rear bar, front should be fine though.

and bear in mind dres rims are almost identical od to a 205/55 r15, its just that he
runs rubber bands.

Yes that lovly tab.... my shoddy wheels savaged that tab and make a lovly noise whenever the car is driven at pace on our excellent vic roads :S.
