After much head scratching I have decided to go with two piece 350mm rotor and EVO VI Calipers.

I now need to run a 17 inch rim which is fine but what size does it need to be?

Are people running a 17X7 or can you fit a 7.5 with a +45mm offset or what is the ideal size?

I ideally want to run a 215/40/17 semi slick. Have people managed to fit these on the early evos or are you running a smaller semi slick?

as above a +45 wont clear brembos, and also for a 350mm rotor you will need a special wheel, even then you may be lucky
if the brembos will fit inside a 17" with the brembos due to their size.
I have evo5 and 6 rims for mine which are 17x7.5 +38 with the 320mm rotors and brembo calipers and they are pretty good in the offset and size.
I also will be running 215/40r17 slicks.

Do you think a 7.5 will be to wide on the rear?

And is your offset different due to running the EVO V/VI hubs?

I'm running EVO6 rims on my Coupe and the largest semi slick we could get on it were 205/45/17s. The rears were the limiting factor.

offset stays the same with the later 5 stud hubs, and 7.5 +38 only leaves about 3mm to the trailing arm on the back

if you wanted a tyre that big i would go evo 4-6 rear end- will fit then, but i dont think it will in the front

I'm running a nitto 205/40 x17 with a 17x7 38 with a 4mm spacer and that just clears the 320mm AP rotor and Ap caliper

I guess i could maybe squeeze 215 40 17 but i was scared they would touch the inner wheel wall.

If you want to have a look at the wheels I have - I have a spare set at the restaurant!

I have given in and gone to a 5 stud hub and will be fitting hopefully some EVO VI wheels.
