so looking thru the search function to no avail :(

i have a vr4 motor in a GSR, i have the stock VR4 air con compressor bolted to the back of the engine, now the lines all look different compared to the lines in the GSR, what compressor can i use to keep the air con going in the car?
1.8 GSR compressor?
2.0 EVO compressor?

thanks in advance guys

You would use an Evo compressor if you are using Evo or GSR loom......If my memory serves me correctly I think the VR4 compressor has a different plug which won't plug into the GSR loom
You can't use the GSR one with the 2L engine,Its completely different.

^Wrong again.... You don't need to change ALL of the lines at all...You can still use most of the existing ones...only need to change one or two.

Yep. For my Vr4 conversion I used an Evo aircon compressor, but then again Im also using Evo III engine and interior looms so it all just plugged in like stock. I originally had modified Gsr engine looms but ended up ditching them and going full Evo looms, complete aircon fan relay bracket and crank angle sensor. Then simply used a Haltech Evo I-III plug and play patch loom for the Haltech Ecu. Because I was DIY, it saved me shitloads of fukn around with a few other things as well as it keeps most of the stock Evo electrical system intact to work as intended, aircon included. I do remember there were differences in the GSR relay bracket and wiring as well that I wasnt too keen to nut out because it wouldnt guarantee gremlin free success converting the existing GSR wiring. So the full Evo wiring was simpler for me to do at the time. Im sure these days if you get the wiring diagrams you could possibly approach an auto eleccy to get it all sorted with an Evo compressor with the existing Gsr wiring and relay setup.

if you are going to change the compressor from vr4 to evo, try and get the bracket that bolts to the block also - i found when I was looking into this that the compressor bolt spacings are slightly different between the 2 models.
