I do. I spent two day trying to figure out why my car won't start. I changed engine bay electrical loom. Car started fine. Then changed the interior loom from carby to efi. I also set up fog light, interior lighting and elec window relays off the new loom. Once original was out I swapped central locking and alarm onto the new loom. I then installed the new loom.

Now here is why I hate black wires. I turn the ignition on and motor cranks. But doesn't fire. I test everything. Headlights tail lights radiator fans interior lights wipers ect all good.

Now, the car is a cc coupe with a galant Na 4g63. A few years ago I got the ecu wired in by an auto elec. Pretty much a constant and two wires from ignition tuning into a pair of relays hooked into a few wires on engine loom. I had traced the wires down to the engine loom plug and hooked it in there instead of the ignition. Since it wasn't working I sent it straight to ignition. Still no go.
I popped the spark plug put to test spark. Nothing
Fuel pump. Nothing
Called a Nate. Recomended test power on ecu. I tested it and everything was receiving constant power.
By the end I'm like screw it motor is coming out at the end of month and Evo motor is going in which will plug and play so I'll start pulling it all apart now and bus it for a month. That's when I had notices a little black wire that came out of nowhere.

I've taKen the engine loom and ecu out twic before and it wasn't there. So I have no idea where it came from. I thought I'd wing it and hooked it into one of the powers an bingo. Motor starts.

Took two days. I'm tired. Havnt slept. And that's why I hate black wires that spear out of nowhere

Anyone else got frustrating stories

the day i got my coupe on the road when i originaly bought it after geting it started wovr taken of and registered. it was the first good thing to happen for me in 2 weeks very very bad time for the family. my previous car had just been stolen a week prior. so im stoked new car and im loving it. take it to my grandmothers funeral drives there perfectly fine we sit through the service and the family head to the cars for the motor cade. car uns fine and gets to the cemetry we put her to rest and we all head back to the cars to head to the wake. and lo and behold after agreeing to give my cousin a lift the friggin car wont start cranks and cranks so it gets put on a tow truck agin .

i replace the ecu nothing!, i replace the coilpac/dizy sohc cc coupe so they're one in the same still nothing. check for spark nope! injector pulse nope? so we narrow it down to the imobilizer and aftermarket unit. so we remove and bypass still friggin nothing! so i get the bright spark to go buy a new one . wire it and and eureka my baby runs again! woot

until 2 days later she starts to surge thanks to a rooted tps simple fix and all is well and good been running fine until it chewed up a belt last month at which point i droped in the 93T

the imobilizer unit itse;f had shat itself probably has somthing to do with the 3m of water the car had been submerged in!.

water in cylinders 1 and 2. an ecu corroded to the shit house didn't know she had an emobilizer till it gave up the ghost and considering the condition of the ecu and the clock that i've only just replaced im suprised it started on it at all!. hasn't missed a beat since then. im actualy curious to see what the inside of that submerged engine look like after 2 years of being run without being opened up. wonder what the water did to it whatever it may have done didn't effect it's running

well they'll certainly run after being diped nose first into water the entire interior was soaked even the back seat was wet. i think the only part that stayed dry was half of the boot.
