Who went to the red bull air race last w.e in perth? What did you think?


I went with a few ppl it was one of the best days out for a while, awesome day to sit along the river on a summers day, beers babes and plenty of fun. I didint expect much but what a great spectator sport!

And the F18!!!!! That thing was loud.
I watched a vid on youtube just then, brings back the excitment.

Id put it up there with watching the v8 nitro funny cars or hearing a 20B on gate

I went the first year, i found it extremely boring, seen one run you seen them all, i just wanted someone to crash or something lol.

i went and saw it in porto, portugal this year while we were touring europe... the guys are insane... i only went for 1 day out of the 2 as the crowds were unbelivable and it was really hard to get a spot where you could see the whole course because of the bend in the rier there and the high sides... could see alot more watching it on telly in the motel for the second day.... and also hear the commentary because it wasnt in portugese

as for big loud jets... thats nice footage... if you wanna see fighter jets really get pushed go to the avalon air show in melbourne... the yanks put on one hell of a show there with the f-15/16/18e super hornet... i'm looking forward to the day they bring a f-22 but i think that it will be a few years yet

Yes a day like that is really what you make it... if you head down to the foreshore, and watch the sky for a few planes flying around some air-inflated pylons you will be bored shiteless... however add some good mates, some beers, possibly a jet-ski/boat and you are defiantly going to have a great time...

I am fortunate enough to have a mate whom lives very very close to the event in south perth...

Yeah i was told that its too far away to see ect ect form last yr.


But i went both days, both times on south perth foreshore (the city side would have been SHIT) and sat at oppisite ends of the course on the south perth shore, its close enough i recon eh.
When went home watched it on tv it was ggreat to see the in plane footage of what the pilot see's.

Some guys posted up some awesom pics on anti lag of the day if anyones intersted.

An yeah its what you make it, sitting there talking shit, watching the hot ass and a few beers.
And it was a great atmosphere out in the sun relaxing having a good time.

And the guys were pulling 10.4G.... 11G!!!!! If ya weigh 80kg, ya body weighs 880kg through the turn.
They were saying about their body training for the blood flow clenching and also their neck, pretty insane.


Hmmm Rant over, i was just pretty impressed.

they were saying he could only do 580km/hr or he'll come close to breaking the sound barrier and break windows haha

he was just cruising around eh but it was LOUD, and when your half pissed its pretty cool. I was thinking id pay like a few grand for somone to take me up in an F18 and scare shit outta me lol

Im not a big plane guy but you could hear the jets sucking the air when it came close then after if passed you could hear it out the ass end and see the fire inside the turbines.

Oi i swear im pissed off about my cameras battery going flat, i sooo wanted a pic of the freaking hot MILF!!!

Honestly this chic had lik a 6 y old and her hubby walking next to her and DAMMMMMM. one of the hottest women i ever seen. had it all.
And i went to eurpoe a few months back, the women there are amazing also but id still put the chick from the air show up there.

Made my day, so did the f18, the beers, the girls, the weather.....
