Why is my intercooler black? :(

everyone elses is silver, wtf happened to mine

whats the size of the standard vr4 cooler, just want to check if mine is the normal one

aus spec or jspec??

aus spec coolers are black stock
jspec are silver

other coolers such as supra coolers etc are black too

if u want it silver, and its been painted black, just get some metho or petrol on a rag and give your cooler a wipe, it should clean the paint off

if not, just paint it with some silver paint (very light coat)

it's a jspec
but its completely stock, and was owned by old people so it doesn't make much sense why it would be black

I've seen black and silver japspecs - there's no difference in size etc, just a different colour for a more concealed and stealth look :twisted: I wouldnt doubt that some people will point at it and say, geez, why is your radiator on the outside for?? hahahaha... and that would be the Policeman when he pops the bonnet open scratching his head looking for a top mount instead bahahahaha :lol: I crack myself up :lol:

ps looks like a sleeper to shit ppls when there next to me and think my car is only a "lancer with a kit" until you hear that turbo spool and that BOV hahaha so laeve it BLACK !!!

olly mate you got a stock cooler or FMIC ? give it a good clean with water and let it dry then attack it with a spray can =] thats what i did to mine. i was going to do it pink for a luagh but im thinking of getting pink pipping done instead =]

i feel your pain as mine has a jspec cooler and they painted it black. got onto it with some thinners and a toothbrush and came up alright
