Why would i bother :|

Been thinking of upgrading from the VR4 to a 1996+ GTO MR in the next 6 to 12mths.
But after just paying $1.49/pl for fuel :evil:

Why should i even consider another petrol powered car :?
Maybe its time to start looking for alternative fuel cars and HiPoing them :shock: (Not meaning GAS either, sure its cheaper for now)

Thoughts ?
Suggestions ?
Idea's ?

I had a mate (home inventor)
He had this neat lil setup that would let a 4ltr landcruiser run off a motor bike carby (Amazing fuel economy - but not suitable for a high performace setup)
Worked by using zorst gass's to vaporise the fuel before the carby.

Wont work for a VR4/turbo/injected i wouldnt think

Troy, if your looking at upgrading to a GTO, take what you spend on petrol now, and double it.

I found that I have better fuel economy since switching to an aftermarket ECU.

Based on what iv read, highway driving is only 1 less mpg then what i get now.
Trubo cars arnt fuel hungry unless you are always in boost
