Done a few search enquries on google and evo forums however most consist of our younger brothers, the CP9A and CT9A's.

I am chasing pictures and specifications of GSRs and EVO1 with good fitment.

I have seen DIY Lancer however I don't think I'll go that far.
Stock guards with either minor flaring/pumping is what I'm after.

I have seen a black GSR/EVO1 in NZ with number plates D1 SPEC running enkei wheels i think however don't know the specs on the wheels.

I would love to fit 17x8.5 all around.

yeh mate, you can run wide wheels like the D1 evo for epic flush, but you will have to use majorly stiff suspension!

I run 10" +15 offset, but obviously widebody.

8" +30ish offset is probably the most you'd want for a daily. Plus, you have to remember if you go too wide you will need coilovers (front struts interfere) and the rear bar tab will def need to be modified.

Thanks

It will be driven daily however stiffness or so scrubbing doesn't bother me; my previous cars were very uncomfortable however you get accustomed to it.
I've purchased BC BR coilovers for the GSR, rear bar tab mod in the next 2 weeks.

in that case, go nuts! May I suggest converting to 5 stud as you will find it hard to track down wheels with the offset you want in 4 stud.

r32GTR offset seems to go pretty well with early evos (flush)
33/34GTR you will need to go widebody

What's the best step to take in regards to converting it to 5 stud?
I was told TJ magna front hubs and and evo 8 rear hubs?

What widebody kit is available for the rear?

On my EVO II I get scrappage* with a 450lb rear spring and coilovers. I want to run a 235 Bridgestone RE55 which is a 240 wide tyre.

Any suggestions?

* This is going through turn 2 at QR at around 140 km/h with a 215/45/17 Dunlop semi slick.

I just done 5 stud conversion used legnum rear hubs an magna fronts most expensive part was the new bearings at $70 a corner

I run softer than that in the back

remember lukes car is a lightweight like mine...........not a big barge like yours :p

OI.......

Yes did take the weight difference into account!

My car is similar in weight to Tony Warrens IX when it's in super series form, he is running 450/500 for tarmac and 750/1000 for circuit, just seems like a big difference in rates between an early model to a late model with not a massive amount of weight difference?

I would think his rates are pretty high - I only run 400-350 in mine. definatley firm enough, could go stiffer though but
with the upgraded rear sway bar it is fine

Apart from weight Id say the newer evo's need the stiffer spring rates due to bigger whopper stopper brakes & the fact that AYC is a license to throw the car around corners harder

That seems like a very soft spring rate for circuit?

I fail in a lot of things and suspension is one of them, I took the advice of the suspension guru I visit.

I still have the problem I was trying to rectify so the next upgrade is to a wider tyre on the rims, new rear sway bar and a front LSD. This is why I would like to be able to run the Bridgestone. It is cheaper than the Dunlop but I can't fit it on the rear at the moment on the 7.5 inch EVO V rim.

You are running dunlop 03g's?

Although the increased footprint with a wider tyre does make an improvement, a lot of guys who have gone up a tyre size or 2 from standard say the difference in lap times in minor.
If you are using 03g's (which are a fantastic tyre) the advantage you gain from going wider may be lost due to running a lesser quality tyre- I hate re55's and have always said they are cheap for a reason, they were good many years ago but now have been superseded by better tyre technology.
I imagine you will see a drop in lap times going from dunlops to bridgestones, the new Ao50 Yokies now seem to be the weapon of choice and a lot of people say they are faster than the dunlops and are a fair bit cheaper- maybe they are worth considering if you want to save a few bucks but not drop any pace?

The wider foot print is required as I am destroying the outer edge and many people have stated it is due to running a 215 on a 7.5 inch rim which prevents the tyre wall working correctly. So I either down grade to a 7 inch rim or try and widen the rear to run the 235.

The reasoning behind the RE55 is that a set can be had for just over $1200 as they are the control tyre for certain events.

My Dunlops are setting me back just over $1700 a set and although I would love to be quicker running I can't justify the extra charge. I am however also looking at getting these in medium.
