Window doesn't work

Help Support 4GTuner:

Take the door card off and look inside, make sure your plugs are in order.

I remeber how slow the windows were on my VR4, almost to the point itd burn the motors out putting them up, but my gsr ones were so much quicker,if it is shot, buy the gear from a GSR galant if u need to.

You have definately checked that the inside of the switches dont have carbon build up? i had to clean mine once or twice.

lubricate the rubber that the glass slides in to.

when the window doesn't move, can you hear the motor turning? the plastic gears wear and can fail to engage.

Yeah people who own a VR4 and have hopped in my GGSR said the same thing.

What would you use to clean the rubbers with?
I just used metho or something.

Also, what would you use to lubricate them with?
Some people say graphite powder, but I've tried that, and it's pretty hard to get a nice deposit in there without spilling everywhere else?
I've also used some sort of gel particularly made for this, available from Ford as a genuine part, still have it actually, although I try not to use it, as it's a carcinogen, and it costs like $80 for 250ml or something crazy like that.
It worked nicely to begin with, but give it a couple months and you're back to square one.

Tyre shine

yup, silicon spray ftw!

if theres no motor sound, then there's no power getting to it, if it works sometimes, then it's a dodgy connection somewhere.
Get a multimeter and check if the switch is getting power to it when it's NOT working, if it is then the problem is between the switch and the motor itself.
