Window Visors on ebay

4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

I've been look at those for a while now BUT the problem with them is that they don't look as good as the stock ones. They don't look as smooth due to the double sided tape (flat surface).

Some years back when I worked in a 4wd accessories store, we sold some that were held on with double sided tape. we stopped selling them because the heat would soften the glue in the tape supplied during summer and they would literally fall off as soon as the car started to move.

we had heaps returned just for that reason......I hope double sided tape has improved since then

I rear the start of this thread and thought: WTF? Visors!??

You mean weather shields yes??? :p

What about using something better than the double sided tape they come with??

Even the OEM weather shields are selling for 3x the price, 20 years old!

They are a different design.
The stock ones are how can I say, smoother.
These ones are flat where they stick and then bubble out above the glass which looks crap imo

I should hope so, half the cars on the road nowadays have double sided tape holding them together. If you use 3M ds-tape you can't go wrong. I used a roll of it after I repainted the VR4 on the door/guard/dogleg molds. 2 years on they're still on there! I got a cheapo roll of 12mm chrome too (for the molds & bumpers) which had no-name ds tape on it, no probs there either! Trick is clean the surface, then use a heatgun/hairdryer on the tape before sticking - can't go wrong.

Anyone got part numbers on gen weather shields? They're still available? :w00t::w00t::w00t::w00t:
