Windscreen wiper problem

Another problem with the Galant MS...
When using windscreen wipers, they work fine but "finish" about a 1/4 of the way back up the windsreen.
They do the full cycle from top to bottom, but when turned off, return to the bottom and then proceed back up to stop as i said about 1/4 of the way up.

Anyone got any ideas on this one?
New wiper motor maybe?

Yeap some one has removed wiper arms or replaced the wiper motor and has misaligned the teeth on the wiper arms.

Remove your wiper arms and place them where they should be at the bottom of the screen, give it a test first before tightening them up fully as you may be 1 spline out either to far up or to far down.

I thought about that, but they are alredy going to the bottom of the screen, then going back up again, by doing this, wont the wipers just fall off the bottom of the screen?

Probably the park switch inside the wiper motor is faulty.

mmm, thought i might have to replace the motor, just sold my replacement one too.... anyone got one lying around?

Yeah no worries, I'll have to wait till tomorrow cos i need to buy batteries for the camera!

OK, problem fixed.
The spline on the motor wasnt lined up properly, and what a pain in the ass that was to fix!
