bazeng Gday maaaate Joined Apr 2, 2005 Messages 9,886 Location Melbourne Oct 18, 2005 #2 a dimmer switch is basically a variable cap or resistor.. you would have to get the live wire, not the earth wire eg. 12v from batt to switch, switch to light, and ground the light on the other side it should then work
