Hey there. I'm setting up a new alarm system in my car. Fairly straight forward. Now I just have 2 issues. The immobiliser isn't working and neither is the remote start.

Does anyone have a color chart for the ignition wires on back of key so I can double check I have set it up correctly ign 1 + ign 2 ect

And last of all the remote start. On the power plug on unit there is a seperate fat wire and diagram says its to be used for the remote start. And on another plug (with alot of the other wires for lights door locks ect) there is a smaller thinner wire that the pin out list says is used for remote start (something about organizing accessories). Both are same color (black/red) but I can't figure out how tO wire it.

Sumarise....need color chart for ignition block (where key is) and help sorting out remote start

If you have the CC manual Lancer coupe & mirage general electrical 92-96 there is a circuit diagram on page 88 (86 of 300).

Basically, WHITE +12V incoming from battery, through switch and outgoing to:

BLACK/YELLOW - starting system, RUN position. Only disables starter motor solenoid ** i suggest this, ignition will turn on but won't crank
BLACK/WHITE - MFI/ignition system, ON position. Kills dash lights/gauges as well
BLUE
BLUE/BLACK

Remote start will require wiring the new switch into the BLACK/YELLOW (starter solenoid circuit) using +12V power source. best to use a relay

30 +12V power source
87 BLACK/YELLOW
86 switch +12V
85 switch ground

you can wire this relay in the engine bay if you like - there is a connector near the trannie mount where BLACK/YELLOW turns to BLACK/RED before terminating on the starter solenoid.

Thanks :)
Update. Thick wire is a constant power supply for a second ignition circuit. Now I just need to know what to do with that other wire. It say "-" 300ma. But it doesn't have the ground signal like actual ground wires do it needs to go to something

thicker wires are for power circuit and thinner for switching circuit. the switch needs a power source- either you switch on the +12V side or ground side.
it must have come with some sort of wiring diagram?

It has the pins explained seperatly and then where it has short diagrams for different wires it just says pin12 ------ign3 "-"300ma.

There is another diagram too

..................Key position...off....Acc....Ign....Start
Wire
Sys power.........................+.......+........+........+
Starter wire.....................................................+
Ignition1...............................................+.........+
Acc.............................................+........+
Ign 2..…...............................................+
Power circ suply................+.......+........+.........+
Ign 3.....................................................Gr.......gr.

Maybe ignition 3 is that thin wire and Is meant to be grounded. And when u push the remote start button it triggers the ground turning ignition and starter motor.
But I don't think it is a "ground" because there is "-"300ma next to cabin light and window up function. And hooks into a negative source (after light). It acts as a different grounding route. Circuit being switched in the unit and then earthing out completing the circuit for lights (bypassing the door switch). If that's the case where does the ign3 "-"300ma hook in to?

can you send a pic of the circuit diagram/wiring guide ? 300ma = 300 milliamps? for a ground not sure
