Hey Guys..

It is now confirmed!
Springy Motors is now an official AUTRONIC Dealer!

It wasn't easy to achieve! Robert the owner of Autronic only allows dealership to those who know his products inside out.

From what I know, Autronic and Springy Motors have tested a new Autronic product to be released shortly.

So for those who are after an Autronic, don't hesitate to contact Danny @ Springy.

I can now slap on an Autronic sticker on my VR4!

hahaha good stuff baz! congrats to springy......but dan does know his autronics very well, so id imagine noone else more qualified to be a dealer

are there any prices on the ecu's through springy?

and how much for buy/install/tune for one? (approx)

All Autronics are sold on RRP.
Install and tune depends on the setup.

I believe the SM4 RRP for about $2400.
Install price varies depending on ECU type and car it is going into.
Tunes range from $330 + depending on the time it takes.

All tunes are warranted for cold starts / cruise / wot etc.

Is this for your car Jay?

thinking about it bro.... the stock ecu it starting to sheit me with ping ping, and i'm now looking for a full standalone unit... having a look at my choices...

Travis,

I do not believe that they have a plug and play for the evo1-2-3. But Springy Motors themselves do make an adaptop unit which converts your stock loom connectors to the Autronic connectors which makes it plug and play in that aspect.

Kaotik / Jurrel has one in his vr4. They've done one for an S15 and a few other vehicles also.

I'll find out how much the plug in adaptor costs and let you know trav.

baz can you ask if they can still get a plug n play for my evo??

i have one trav,

i think it used to be a 4 one, just need to change a few pins
and fit the air temp sensor into the afm loom

sweet I will give you a call

Oooooooh a standalone ECU is the 3rd Big Mod on my Big Mod list and I was considering either a Haltech or an Autronic.

ENGINR, the ECU will open up your lancer unlike any other mod.

As for which ECU, it really depends on your budget.

You know which one I would choose =)

Feel free to come by and I can show you how they work.

Haltech and Vipec both have plugins.

If you are happy with the ECU that your preferred tuner uses, go for that.

thats correct,

they use the EVO4 PnP board and modify it to suit. I spoke to Ray Hall about it b4 getting the SM4. Dealers are the ones who do the modifications to the E4 board though, not Autronic themselves.

Baz do you want to line Springy up as a premium sponsor? I think they would be keen still.

I will be back there within the next month or two hopefully for some more tuning, and cams, cam gears, valve springs, retainers and some bigger beasty injectors (stage 2) :)

Turbotechnics in Newcastle was an Autronic dealer but the owner shut down the business, so our loss is your gain springy motors :p

At least it went to a better company lol

Dan, yes, they are keen for this to happen. Stage 2 sounds good buddy! I'm in the 100th stage of the vr4 now... it never ends mate..

I'm working on a promotional deal for T4G members when something happens to!
