Hi all

I'm looking for a VR4/E1-3 4G63 turbo zorst manny to suit a T3/T4 flange with external wastegate. I have rebuilt my engine and looking to get it up and running ASAP so not fussed about quality at this stage. There's a bit of a lull on the el cheapo SS ones on EBay as even something like that will do for the time being. They were selling for around $250 a month ago. Does anyone know where to get one from atm?

cheers

Yelevo, thats 'The_Turbo_Shop' dude that was selling them on EBay for around $250. He's got them on his website for $410 incl shipping atm  Had a mate have to cut the xwg flange off and put it 180 degrees on the opposite side just to fit his big xwg  . He told me tonight that one of his friends had one of these manny's and the runners cracked on him!! geez.... $400 for a cheapo to get me by for a little bit and to get the car up and running or $1000 for a custom made steampipe manny to last a long time (with HPC coating $1000+) dilemma dilemma hahaha

Bobwrinkle, that looks like its to fit a TD turbo, not a GT Garret turbo :p

manifold

He was loosing money big time on ebay with no reserves. Any way ss autochrome stuff is crap i did a turbo install on his honda ended up making my own dump and front pipe cause there flange was about 45deg out. SS autochrome ended up paying me to weld the flange on in the right place send it back to the states so they could send it to china as a template.

Yeah its confirmed, dodgy to start with plus you have to modify and reweld the xwg flange to suit a larger one

$400 is $400!!!. Suppose I'd rather have it go halfway toward a good custom steampipe manny rather than a cheap throw away manny destined to fail. Cheers anyways boys, I dunno what I was thinking  (probably would have got it if it was $250 just to tie me over for the time being but... SLAP!! OK, OK.... that's no good either lol  ) Steampipe it is then!! :D

I ended up getting one from the turbo shop Landed at my door for $168 with a 38mm Wastegate. he definatly lost on that :p

Ive heard Of One manifold fail can someone get me some evidence of any other occurences????
I know lots of people who own xs Power Manifolds and Have never had a problem.
They come with warantee's Good welds and a good quality finish.

and for the price who can complain

Entaran, seen them for $1000 each readily available to purchase from Australian companies such as Horspowerinabox and ASE. Now getting a mate to custom make me a steampipe manny for much less - seems the best alternative then have it ceramic coated.

GSRSOL, The cast ones from GTPumps are for TD Mitsu series turbos, not Garrett T3/T4 series flanges.

Mad_RX2, same question was asked on NZMMC: http://forums.nzmmc.co.nz/viewtopic.php?t=42024 . Do a search on SS Autochrome etc in DSM forums and you'll read all about them  Here are some other examples of SS Autochrome/OBX/XS Power ingenuity:

Lorrie, you pay for what you get. Dont forget a properly engineered manifold can make ALOT of difference depending on your setup.

I went the cheap option with my manifold, its an OBX T3/T4 flanges with 38mm wastegate port. Driven round for almost a year now. No cracks or problems with it. yet.

If I were you bro, I wouldnt rush into anything- you might pay the price for it later!!

What about one of these puppies??

there are nothing wrong with the cast ones, they are actually more recommended for street cars due to the fact that they will most likely never crack..

they are heaps heavier though!
and dont look as pretty.
