A big thanks to brisvr4 for sorting this for me.
I took the hub and knuckle to my mechanic to get the bearing replaced and he said to not bother, he'd put it on his car as is. There was a question over movement in it, but apparently that is normal without the drive shaft and nut to pull it into place.
Of course not everything car go my way, I cannot get my drive shaft nut undone. I've managed to put a banana in a 2 meter piece of 1 inch box steel I had over my breaker bar while driving the car forward against the hand brake, but the nut refuses to budge.
A decent compressor is now way at the top of my tool shopping list. I have a rattle gun and air ratchet, but a 90psi compressor just doesn't cut it. My 12 month road worthy is due in next week so I guess I'll get my mechanic to do this too while he's there.
