Well its roadworthy time, and to sidestep the possible issues with my 4G63T conversion, I'm after ANY stock CC Lancer motor... whether 1.5L or 1.8L... May even consider a swap of my 4G63T for a 4G93T if anyone is interested...
Anyway, I just need a motor and gearbox that runs... and not leaking oil obviously... Will only have it in the car for a few weeks...

nah I used a loophole to get it registered, but since then the law has changed here... or as far as the RWC place is concerned... it goes on power output now! So it leaves me back at square 1.

For 1 I ''need'' 2 new rims, and non US taillights... so a fair bit of stuffing around. IMO not worth it when I can swap back to a legal motor hopefully for cheap enough, and enjoy taking my daughter for a nice Sunday drive in it... to be honest I'm over the power, and the Police here are becomming far too strict.
I got pulled over on my way home from the engineers... and it took 20 minutes of arguing my point for them to back off... it only took me pulling out a notepad and asking his details that he left me alone...

only good thing for me is the only thing on my RWC list now is an engineers for the motor... so if I swap out the motor I can be driving it again (slowly) in no time and with no more hassle

I got a stock 1.8 but no gear box. It needs the head gasket replaced to stop the oil leak. I think freight will make it not worth it i think...

Did u ask Rickii if he has anything left over??

If your not allowed to throw a turbo engine in the car, then i would suggest throw a proton 4G93P DOHC 1.8 engine in it, unless u can find a 4G92 1.6 MIVEC engine :)

Coz with the heavy body work and a tiny no power engine, you wont even make it up a steep driveway

I don't thInk rick has anything suitable. Got a spare vr4 motor and a 1.6 from a cb with very low compression.

I just need a motor that comes standard in the CC lancer... either 2 or 4 door... otherwise it'll still need an engineers certificate...
And worst bit is it HAS to be '93 or newer...
