Anyone got any? i looked on meek but they had nothing.

I would prefer a new one.

yeah the fronts are about $160 new for a regulator and $142 for rear regulator new from mitsubishi

I too have been quoted in excees of about $500 for a motor (not regulator), but these dont usually stuff up

what issues are you experiencing.. did the window just stop going up and down? because if thats the case its likely the cable support snapped on the regulator

and if thats the case then only buy a new regulator from mitsi because they have a new cable support (reinforcement) to stop the common snapping

i guess the best way to check if you are unsure is to take the motor out of another one of your power windows and they should slot straight into the current regulator.

if it works fine after you slot another motor in, then you know its your motor

if it still doesn't work then you know your regulator is cactus!

test first - you dont want to waste money

well the problem is that it goes down, but it doesnt go up! the guy from meek told me that the "rubber" was gone. Does this mean i need just the regulator, or do i need a whole new power window motor.

It doesnt go down as smooth as it should either.

Does buying the power window motor from meek come with a reg?

i have 3 regulator/motor assemblies. The motors, even though they each have their own part number, are universal, and can be used on any door.

do you need the regulator or the motor?

pretty sure meek staff aren't on this forum ask them over the phone or email instead of asking them on here ;)

Rubber as in where the glass slides up and down at the top of your door, or the rubber which clips onto the motor itself (and then slips into the regulators slot

When the motor slips/clips into the regulator, there is like a rubber which sits both on the motor bit that spins as well as slots into the regulator slot/hole

i dont know how that would stuff up though.. its a tight fit and my cars had plenty of sliding action in its 215,000kms

as per my previous post, have you tried any tests?

take your door trim off first. and peel back the plastic/rain cover. theres a lot of sikaflex which seems to keep that on :)

Take out the assembly and slip the motor off the regulator.. It is here you will see the rubber. if it looks fine, try another motor from one of your other doors.. if it still does not work fine both up and down, then its likely to be your regulator.. you'll know if its your regulator anyway because youll likely see the cable snapped/tangled

take a picture of it apart and maybe we can help a bit more

do this before buying anything as this can be the difference between $140 and $300+

I can't hear my motor going at all, I think it's either a wiring issue or the motor's shot. In any case, how do I take the assembly (pictured above) out? Do the 2 cables unlatch? I can't see where they would detach.
