Hi guys... been a bit of a silent observer here but the respray on my E2 is nearing completion, and my lip has definitely seen better days! Searching for a replacement...

I attempted to set up a group buy on fibreglass replicas, and offered my lip to be used as a mould, but had ppl shut down the idea as it was fibreglass (accepted a weaker subsititute, but really what other options are available???). I was happy to take the risk as my car sits only marginally lower than standard...

Anyway... purpose of this post is to hunt down an E2 lip... or if not prepared to separate, then complete bar.

Location: VIC or QLD preferred... as I will be taking the car to Brisbane with me in a few weeks. But if you are willing to post (lip only, freight on a bumper would kill the deal), then it's not too much of an issue.

Alternatively, if you have/know of any aftermarket items (fibreglass OK) please advise and I will give serious thought... No E3 bars though... YUCK!

Cheers guys.

I'm after one too and realise if fibreglass is the only option I will have to go for that, just wondering if the right satin finish will look ok?

Well the thing is even if I found a OEM one, the plan was to smooth it over so it doesn't have that rough finish, and paint it gloss black...

Fibreglass would already have the smooth finish, and I guess the other option (which I considered) was body colour. Not really sure though if you are set on satin finish.

The bloke I was speaking to said no one had ever asked him for it... and would require min. 10 orders to proceed.

I guess if 10 people express interest, I could chat to him before I leave Melbourne (Sunday) and see if it is something he will still consider, and start a group buy thread accordingly...

But as I said, last time everyone gave their 2 cents and bagged the concept due to the nature of fibreglass. Not to be rude, but I'm sure 99% of members are aware of the properties of fibreglass, so please refrain from comments pointing out the shortcomings. If 10 people are willing to chance it with fibreglass then that is their own problem... and I know it won't be much of a problem for me as my car is not decked, and I will be aware that it is there and drive accordingly.

yeah unless you slam into gutter everyday I really dont see why its going to fall to bits  I'm interested, I think gloss will look odd but thats just my opinion.

as far as i know you can buy it in peices from mitsubishi. it is very expencive though PM sivart he would have a price. i bought my tow cover brand new.
