Hi guys,

A bit of a long shot here but anyone got these lying around and want to get rid of them?

These are the bracing found on the front strut tops of evo 1-3.

Thanks
Alex

Are you just talking about a regular strut brace? I've got a whiteline brace that I'm not using that fits CC GSR/Evo/Proton?

The paint is flaking off one of the mounts and it has a couple of wear marks where it was rubbing on my bonnet (Satria GTi issue only), but otherwise it's prefect.

You can have it for $40 + shipping if you're interested...

I believe he is referring to the pressed steel gussets that are welded to the EVO strut towers and firewalls. They are part of the additional pieces that are added to an EVO shell over a standard Lancer shell.

The 3 point fender bars are stronger and easier to fit
I wouldn't say stronger Jack. But certainly easier.
I believe the gussets are better than nothing, however no where near as beneficial as they could be; my Evo suffers from some firewall flex.
Id be looking towards a brake stopper and or clutch stopper (you'd have to custom fab one, which is right up Alex's alley) too.

Also Alex, by the time you have removed all of the spotwelds there is very little left of them. I do have a set somewhere (buried deep within a container within Benny's storage), the top gusset is Swiss cheese.

New these gussets are circa $57 a side from Mitsi. (so about $114 plus postage).

Definitely a better idea to get them brand new from Mitsu if you can! Cutting the relevant sections away from a half-cut then drilling out the welds is a prick of a job.

Hell yeah thanks guys! I wasn't 100% if it was a 3 piece brace or one piece. But the part#'s provided above indicates 3 piece! For $100-odd I'd best get it new.

I'll be placing a substantial order through Amayama in the near future so if anyone wants to save on freight costs let me know and we can combine our order!

Once again thanks for the help guys.

It's been years since mine were welded in, I always thought they were 2 pieces per side, not 3. Anybody got images/photos of the 3 pieces?

I am never wrong.
See attached, then plus the main one around the strut tower.
