Stainless mesh is bloody dear too. but at least you can choose your wire size and square size. think of filter screens...

I got some perforated Ali mesh from (cough) super cheap. i think it looks fine. Was around 50 for enough. looks like the panel shop has sikaflex them in place.

I can't remember sorry. It was a little while ago and it bent easily and didn't crack the powder coating when installing.
