hello just my 2 cents
ive had fibreglass sideskirts for acout 6 years on the car now and theyve remained in perfect nick...
the front bar on the other hand cops quite a beating (in comparison to the better quality oem plastic bars) due to scraping driveways etc. and it eventually starts causing cracks and the paint chips are heaps visible.
Regardless - if my sideskirts were to get damaged or need changing for whatever reason, i would be going for the genuine plastic ones, in fact that goes for any evo bodykit part - even though they cost more id save up and go for them.
And besides the main reasons being sturdyness of plastic, fibreglass cracking once hit and paint chips more visible in fibreglass, I just reckon the paint job on plastic items looks a load better (and blends better) than when the fibreglass ones are painted. The majority of fibreglass kits in general when painted look wavy etc. especially in sunlight.
dont make my mistake... do it once do it right.. even if it does cost more.
just my opinion anyway
