Hey guys,

I'm after a set of front and rear sway bars for the lancer.

Besides the Rear Whiteline ones on ebay, does anyone know where i can get other ones i.e. Cusco etc.. and if anyone knows the prices?

Cheers Peter

my preference is for rear only pete - try one of them first and see how you go I reckon

if your car is a gsr it has a massive front sway bar anyway.(too big imo)

nothing wrong with a whiteline rear though

oh ok, because i was scared if i upgraded the rear, it might put the front one off... so thought id do it em, both if the front is big already, might reconsider..

do you know how much mm the fronts are stock george?

oh ok..

well if anyone has a second hand one they dont use, that'd be good.. if not gonna have to buy form ebay.

i got a 25mm Pedders front sway bar to suit GSR and EVO I $100 buck and its yours.. its never been use.. i had its like 5 years ago but doesnt fit my car as mine an e3 set up..

pete, because the bar's stiffness is based on cross sectional area, changing a couple of mm can ramp up the stiffness pretty quickly,

also, to go to an evo front sway bar, you need to have (at least) mounting tabs on your front shocks, and the end links to match it up, as they dont mount too the lower control arm.

SIKWPN: ill come down on the weekend to have a look at it? pm me your number.

Nick: Yeah i've done full evo conversion on mine.. so the gsr parts in the front are no longer.

pete if that is the case, the mike's front sway bar wont fit, cause you wont be able to connect it to the lower control arms... i guess you could try and make custom links, but as george said, the 17mm std evo bar is "small" and a std 22mm gsr bar is often too big for the application anyway, going to a 25mm may seriously outway the effectiveness of a rear bar at all.
