WTB: FWD CC Lancer Auto Trans

4clyinder sonata 93-99 will need a different flex plate but will bolt on. I'm not sure about cables and electric controllers.
I think magna have the same as well.
Check distance between top bolt holes for fitment
What is your gearbox number

Ive heard about sonata.. im going to have to do a wrecker run and check this out.

My trans code is F4A22-2.

The Magna's dont actually share the same box, but i believe Galant may...

Let us know how you get on. The f4a is pretty close relative to the w4a internally I am led to believe.
Did you look at the magna box, what was it's number and what magna?
There are auto proton Wira as well and lantras.

Rockabilly is a guru with the w4a, and I bet he knows the tricks for your f2a as well.
Maybe describe the problems you are having with your current box and he will be able to advise if it's a easy fix

The box could handle a fair bit with a reinforced 2nd band & 1st gear, but the planetry gears
will be the weekest link. High torque with no wheel spin will kill them. The W4A is heavy, but
front end weight is an advantage rather than a disadvantage in a fwd to get traction. You can
reset a stronger poundage driver's side front spring. That would solve the heavy corner where
the box is & the 100kg+ driver sits ;-)

not sure if youre still looking for a auto box, but there is a CC lancer sedan auto at centre road wreckers with the gearbox there when i went yesterday
