Hi guys, as title suggests Im after an uncracked unwarped Tdo5 16g exhaust housing to do a port job on (due to boost creep). If the 16g has the same exhaust housing as the 14b either of them would do.

Must be in good condition with no cracks

I am located in doncaster area melbourne.

Regards Koray.

i also have one if you want matey. pm me back im sure we can work something out, off a large evo 3 turbo no craks

I’m not exactly sure but I think I have a small 16g turbo, if this is the case will a big 16g housing fit and operate properly on my turbo. I’ve heard that the evo 1 and 2 turbo's are very prone to cracking and the evo 3 turbo’s are made from a different material making them less likely to crack. If this is the case I would prefer an evo3 housing, if not any 16g housing would do providing the big 16g housing is the same as the small 16g. I don’t want to have to modify or change my dump.

All of the td05H exhaust housings are the same size, because the exhaust wheels are all the same size.

1.93/2.20 inch 49.022/55.88mm from VR4 14b to Evo3 big 16g

The ONLY difference Ive seen in the housings are the Outlet part of the turbo that enters the dump pipe section.

They seemed to get bigger as the series of turbos got better. The aftermarket Big 16gs have these bigger outlets too.

There is a turbo study stickied in the galant vr4 section of the forum.

Finding a uncracked 14b turbo is a needle in a hay stack affair as I found out:mad: when a member sold me a dodgy one:mad::mad:....

Aren't 14b's 060 (6cm/.41A/R) and 16g's 070 (7cm/.49A/R)??

yeh thats what i thought, pretty sure its a smaller housing Dane. And correct about the bigger outlet.

Ok guys i have an 070, does this mean all 16g series turbos have 070 housings and will fit. if yes i want an evo 3 one as ive heard they don’t suffer from the crack syndrome. BTW is this true?

yes all 16g's will fit.
dunno bout the cracking comment, they can all crack.
All you need is one that is uncracked and you're fine, from any Evo 1-3

So even if i have an evo111 large 16g turbo (which could be a passibility as my current turbo came on my car when i bought it) a small 16g housing will fit?

Yeah my bad it was late. The (exhaust)wheels are still the same size however.....and the outlets get bigger...
