as the title states i'm after the stock support bracket for the gsr 1.8 tdo4l i am told these are quite important to take the meight off of the head and exhaust manifold and to stop cracking from the weight of the exhaust

ive pulled four standard gsr motors apart and never seen one, if you do find they exist throw up a pick so we can see what they look like.

I'm with youda, I've stripped 3 motors and never seen what you talk about either?
Any pics of what you mention? It may help the cause!

mate i dont think the 1.8 has one of whatever your talking about

they look more like the first exhaust hanger mounst fitted to the car not on the engine itself. anyone else back me up here?

i beleive it mounts to the engine block on the holes closest to the engine stand in this pic and the ones that are only just covered by the oil return line

after reveiwing the worshop manual it's possible these same brackets would be found on the dohc 4g93p i have a sohc here that is supposed to have a bracket aswell but it's different

yeah after looking at my sohc which has a different bracket one will bolt somewhere around the dump and the other to the front pipe. im still chasing these and if i can't find them shortly i'll just get the exhuast place to fab somthiing up. which i'd rather not do since i'm trying to get this done on the cheaper sideof the scale.

so yeah i've miss described what im looking for but now that we know anyone got some spare

i may have one off my old engine mate

great if you could have a look and let me know if you find i'll come back up and grab it.

i'm keen to get my coupe back on the road. not much left now nut out how the aftermarket cooler pipes will run. find the last couple of part i need. get an exhaust made and boost of down the street!

Yea i had one of those brackets when i stripped my 93t down, it bolts on to the 2 lower hole on the front of the block and the exhaust mounts to it to hold it in position, 4g93p have them too but its different and wont fit a 93t
