Was pulling my dump pipe off so i can install my filter re-locater kit easier and I noticed that my turbo to manifold gasket is like blown out :?

Its stetched out, bent over and like melted. Just wondering if it could of been caused by:

Non flat surface of the manifold
Gas temp too hot :?
Not tight enough or en-evenly tightened (but it was hell tight)
Anti-lag
Lastly faulty gasket?

I installed it last August and I was under the impression that the gaskets would last AGES.

Also the turbo to dump gasket looks like its starting to do it as well. :(

I got them from the same supplier. Are they not all the same make from all the outlets?

Do you see that black exhaust stain that appears to be leaking from the seal in one of those photos?

It looks as though it was not installed properly and allowed some of the exhaust gases escape. Perhaps running antilag caused excess pressure and the gases forced their way through?

Why is there no exhaust sealant on that gasket either? you know that high temp silicone stuff?

Perhaps try using some of that with a new gasket and you should be right.

loose bolts.

not because you didn't do them up tight enough, but because over time with the constant thermal cylcing (hot-cold-hot-cold) they stretch.

solution - new bolts.

With a gasket like that you shouldnt need to add any gasket goo.

I dont like the stuff.

Entaran pointed me out to the ffwd connection website and they have the copper gaskets that mould to the imperfections in the 2 surfaces.

the exhaust manifolds warp easy so its good to get a straight edge to check it before re-fitting

and a re-tighten is good to do after about 1000kms driving

get a gt pumps gasket set there really good for the price

Yes to all 3. Already did all of them.

Hence why im a bit hmmmmmmmmmmm :?

Might fore-go the multi layer gaskets all together and go solid one piece or copper.

Incorrect torque applied to old bolts has caused the above.
New bolts correctly tourqued up will solve your issue, Do you have a torque wrench? 3zer

I do.

Whats the specs please?

its in the pdf manuals you should also have by now surely, or couldnt be assed looking for it

I would also check the bolts again about a month or so after you install a new gasket.
Make sure the mating surfaces are still flat as well.
