Ok then, seems like the date is sort of suitable for most.
So where exactly do we want to go?
(Mt Nebo and Logan Tollway toll booths are now both excluded from the journey).

Do people want to bring partners and just go for a gentle cruise, or do they want to experience some interesting roads on the way?

Is a BBQ at Wivenoe fine with people (means taking food and BBQ shit along with us)? Or do you want to go for a drive in the morning and end up at someone's place for a BBQ lunch or dinner afterwards?
(Happy to offer my joint for a swim and BBQ afterwards).

SPEAK UP PEOPLES AND HAVE YOUR SAY!

i dont mind bout partners or friends tag along. as long you don't bring a million of them.

I like the sound of bbq at Wivenoe but someone gotta bring it along with them. Are all chipping for bbq? BYO? or divide the total by how many members who show up?

Can always bring a sporting gear or whatever, and have teams and play something.

that's my say :)

i think that BYO bbq stuff works best. I'd be keen for a gentle cruise and then head to someones place for a bbq/drinks/whatever.

partners is a yes from me.

rob I can add a few more places of no go zones to your map...if you really want :p

I doubt it! Those AWD guys post they're cruises up everywhere and get stacks of cars together. It was a pity I had to cut it short.....very short as I had a call to go to work.
I was told it was an awesome day too, spewin.

I still reckon some of the QLD members know of some good roads though.
*Looks at rob323* :p

maybe ur right

but where were all the other cars hiding
i went from moreyfield to landsborough and out towards malaney... there were only 6 or 7 cars...

My car doesn't "do" cruises for the sake of cruising.
On November 23rd however, I will be "cruising" up to Gympie to thrash my car on the skidpan up there :D.

Do you have anymore info on this skidpan thing Rob? :)
What do you do on a skidpan? Just do burnouts or something? Lol......VR4 doing a burnout. :p
Are we allowed to come? :)

Yes of course. If you want to compete, download the entry form and send it away as soon as possible as spots are limited.
If you want to watch, no problem, it costs nothing to watch. The only catch is if I see you watching, I will drag your ass into the car and you can come for a ride and tell me which side of the cones to go on .

I will be picking up a guy at Caboolture at 7am on my way up so if anyone else wants to cruise up, let me know and we can meet at the BP Service Centre on the highway at Burpengary at 6:30 am.

Sounds fun! :) Haha ^^^^ so you will be "cruising". :p
Yeah, I might go for a look see.
If anyone wants to catch a lift, let me know.
So, any other T4G members coming?

So apart from the motorkhana, which no-one else seems to be going to..........what's up with the Xmas event? :)
Christmas is creeping up on us....

actually what is motorkhanna

It's where you start from a standing start, drive around witches hats/ markers in a particular direction and come to a dead stop in a spot called a garage (usually marked by 4 witches hats). You are timed from when you start moving to when the front of the car crosses the entrance to the garage. Time penalties are added for every marker that you knock over and if you go the wrong way, then you cop a severe time penalty and you are eliminated from outright and class placings.

For more info, see here:
http://www.camsmanual.com.au/pdf/nonspeed/1301_Motorkhana_Code_Q408.pdf

Holden Sporting Car Club hold them regularly at Willowbank.

They are a test of car control and memory.

The club that I belong to hold them when ever we can but not on bitumen, we do them on grass or up at the skid pan at Gympie. They are great fun, cheap and you don't need a super car to be competitive. For example, the one up at Gympie last Sunday was won by a Hyundai Excel (oh, the shame).

You only need to go to youtube and search for NDSCC and you will see the type of motorkhanas we put on.

A turbo front wheel drive with an lsd and a functioning handbrake would be very hard to beat in these type of events. My mate entered his stock Starlet GT (his only mod was a TRD lsd) and he was on average 1 second quicker than me in my vr4 for each test, and this was on grass.
