I am curious as to how anyone trades on yahoo japan. ive seen some stuff i wouldnt mind purchasing but im not even sure whats being sold is whats in the picture. How do u get around this...unless of course u speak/read japanese...which i dont

and if u have figured out this is what you want, how do u contact the seller if its all in japenese on his end and your sending him an english email?

Ive seen a couple of people on this forum and various others that have purchased things from there and im just not understanding it

anyone who can shed some light on this situation will be a great help

:)

first things first there's quite a few hurdles to get over.

one use googles trranslator tools to translate compleate pages or just text copied and pasted from the Jap page into your other opened page which has been opened up at the translating setion. That will sort out your not speaking english part

While there is tons of goodness on JapaneseYahoo almost 99% will not ship internationally about the only thing they will ship is anything that will fit in a standard size envelope :x

Then theres paying for the item bank transaction and comunicating with seller in japanese very very hard and google doesnt do a good job at all of translating english into japanese for the record been there done that.

Finding a freighting company that wont require you selling vital body organs to pay for the shipping charge and let alone you have to have an account to ship with most companies world wide and in australia.

In a nut shell its basically worse than finding what you need on NZMMC forums but at least the seller speaks english and its alot easier if they have a anz or aussie afiliated bank / branch ect.

Been there done that to and been a$$ raped for shipping charges nevcer again only if quite small items that do not weight much only.

I have 3 close mates that live in differant parts of japan and even getting them to buy small bits and posting them is a huge task in its self.

Hope that answers some of your questions.
