Don't drive it, RALLY it!
We (NDSCC) are having another rally up at Yarraman in 2 weeks time. It will be the first real drive in anger for my new car. The rally will probably kick off at around lunch time and finishes with a 20 km night stage.
There will be a speccie point which from all accounts, will be very good and easy to access. There is also an award for the "most impressive" at the speccie point so I'm sure everyone will be putting on a show.
Murray Coote (former 1988 Aussie Rally Champion) I believe is having a drive at this event again.
This is a good fun event, with a very jovial atmosphere to it. Rally HQ and service park is at the Yarraman Showgrounds (about 2km south of town along the road to Crowsnest) and the Speccie point is maybe a km or 2 up the road from that. There is food, drinks and alcohol available at the Show Grounds and the celebrations and intoxicated story telling usually goes on until the wee hours of the morning.
