yo stolen evo.....

4GTuner

Help Support 4GTuner:

Fark - I saw that a couple of weeks ago driving through Essendon. Does anybody recognise the workshop that those photos were taken in? Usually our sort of cars aren't stolen by just kids out for a joyride - the thieves usually stake them out for a while to determine the best time to grab them.

I am pretty sure it's a Martin Griggs EVO3 (re-shelled Aus Spec GLxi sedan).

It is a Griggs

Plate Number : UQG108
Vehicle Make : MITSUB
Vehicle Body Type : SED
Year of Manufacture : 1992
Colour 1 / Colour 2 : YELLOW
Transmission : MANUAL
VIN/Chassis Number : JMFCC1M41NJ005320
Engine Number : 4G63GM1787

Shit!
I saw this the other day too.
Its also got a Ralliart Rear red reflector number plate garnish on it.
will keep an eye out.

Sad thing is - if those who stole it know what it is, then it's already in bits.

Best thing we can do is watch for parts coming up for sale and keep an eye out for that engine number.

Shit like this scares me. If someone really wants to take your car theyll trailer it I guess, but apart from standard immobiliser and a viper alarm or something can anything else be done? Apart from not parking anywhere dodgy and not leaving it out in the street at night?

I remember my uncle once said to me.
"If they want it, they will get it. Security will just slow them down a bit"

An Alarm/security is useful against normal dickhead kids or amateurs, but if it is someone that knows what they are doing the security system is really only making you 'think' it is safe.

Too true, however the alarm / immobiliser also means that insurance will cover you for unforseen things such as this.

sim-based alarm.. you'll need to recharge the sim card every 6mths but it's well worth being able to immobilise and track by a simple phone call if it's stolen. plus you'll get an sms when your alarm goes off.

car's been found, only thing missing were the seats, steering wheel and sound system..

really lucky if you ask me.
