Washed the car on Sunday for the first time since the spray job as its spent a lot of the time in the garage over the holidays. Whilst at it I also connected the CCFL Angel Eye LED rings to the factory EVO III park/foglight switch above the right side vent on the dashboard, plus fitted some nice blue Philips/Osram headlight globes inside the projector lamps. Now Im happy with the lighting, even though Ive probably only driven the car at night a couple of times in the last few years Anyhow, I dont think that I will be installing the brand new H1 6000k HID headlight conversion kit that I bought in December... so I'll put it up for sale soon.
Had my first run at WSID Sunday and did a 12.53@109mph, 1.82 60'. My best 60' on the day was a 1.77 on a 12.58@109mph run. Stinking hot day so a lot of cars left just after lunch, but we stayed behind to squeeze a few more runs in. I had 10 runs in total! It was a fun day and I got a chance to really test the current road tune in it and muck around with a few different launch techniques and suspension and tyre inflation settings (thanks Frankie ). It was good to go out and drive the car hard with my brother and mates, plus wife and kids were also there to cheer me on Will do it again sometime soon after a dyno tune which should make me some more powa
Cheers guys it had several people come up to admire the look of it during the day... it never had that happen when it was baby blue I seriously need to get those rear quarter windows tinted though.
In the 2nd vid where I ran a 12.5, the rear end kicked out sideways at launch and bogged down a litte Plus you can see a couple of other bog downs in the mix from trying to launch it differently.
My favourite is still the first video of my first run with Frankie cackling in the background lol
Hi boys, I finally popped the coupe's cherry with its first ever dyno tune today.
I can now say bye bye to that road tune that got the 12.5 at WSID last month ^^^^
Now the car is making 292kw @ 26psi on BP Ultimate 98 octane. Should get me into the 11's for sure, but more importantly will keep me ahead from my brother
300kw+ atw is not too far away
Some things I need to act on or consider in the meantime:
* Damn injectors are holding me back so I will be looking at selling/swapping the Precision Turbo 880cc injectors for a set of 1000cc injectors.
* Change spark plugs from 7's to 8's then set the gap to 0.5mm.
* I 'might' have to upgrade the Walbro to something that flows a little bit more, just to be safe. Maybe one of those Deatschwerks 301's or a new Aeromotive 304 in-tank pump (they would definitely get enough amps as the fuel pump in my car is wired through 8-gauge cable from the battery in the boot and is using the OEM wire as the switch for a 30A relay.
* The timing is still nowhere near what it can be therefore we know there's more life in it yet. Havent even touched the cams yet either.
* Possibly even look into a different turbo such as a GTX3076 (if I can hide it from my wife)
Nice number Rob. I'd look at the new Walbro 400l pump. Easy fitment and outflows most of the others.
I've just put one in mine to supplement the 044.

Dsmlink V3 + E85 11.37 @ 131.46 ... still more in her

How much time do you spend in a parking lot with your performance car? If you do a lot of parking lot driving, and hang out in parking lots, chances are you are a ricer, go home and read import tuner. If you’re complaining about noise you should not be modifying your car. You should also consider no longer being a man, please hand in your genitals at the door.
