Not much has happened this past month other than changing the clutch pedal and master cylinder plus gearbox and transfer case fluids for a much better pedal feel and shift now.

My throttle return spring must have weakened a little the last couple of drives as every now and then the rpm would be higher than usual when at a stop and wouldnt go back down to a normal unless I gave it a quick rev. At first it seemed like a TPS or stuck butterfly issue but after a closer look and hooking up the laptop to the Haltech to check the TPS calibration we found it was just a weak throttle return spring not closing the throttle body at its fullest when gradually lifting off the accelerator pedal. This weekend I'm gonna take off the throttle link and give the spring one more revolution to make sure she's got some kickback lol

... thats because she drives her Ralliart Magna everyday and has to negotiate driveways herself  (I'd like to think she's scared I'll repaint the whole car if she ever damaged it) :w00t:

I've noticed that the colour of the car comes out differently in still photos depending on the type of camera and lens used, but none capture the colour of seeing it in motion in daylight  I love it. Its a custom mix of blue and violet tinters in white pearl which looking back now wasnt the best idea, however a painter I know took my filler cap to work one day and reckons he has matched it up. When it comes time to put the sideskirts and front bar on hopefully they blend in well together

Update: Just done a bit over 800km run in and the clutch feels good now. I guess its time to dump the run-in oil and filter in exchange for some Castrol Edge 10-60

The coupe is booked in for a dyno this weekend at a local tuners only 5 mins down the road. Its not going to be a full tune, just a stepping stone to throw a bit of go in it first to see if there are any underlying issues I need to address before taking it back to Hitman and throwing the big injectors in it :)

No probs Marc, I will definitely let you know when I'm heading out that way. :)

Well, to cut a long story short I went for a dyno tune on Saturday at a local AWD dyno tuner and found that the guy had no fkn idea. He didnt even have Haltech software installed on his computer that I had to install it from my USB stick for him. Anyhow, he spent a couple of hours fuking around and looking through the software and comparing my tune to a stock E1-3 tune without touching any of the maps yet. I pulled the pin, loaded the tune I originally drove in on and called it a day. He didnt charge me a cent for the dyno... car made 76hp atw I think lol... never going back to that place again except for a power run lol....

Anyway, I sent Hitman a message saying that as soon as he gets back from leave after the birth of his son I want to book the car in for a full tune.

Ive clocked 900km on this run-in tune, changed the oil and this damn 76hp atw, 4500-5000rpm rev cut and 4psi boost is like having Megan Fox spread out on your bed but you're fkn tied to the bedposts!! lol

Seriously Rob, I can't believe you took your car to that bloke. After putting so much time, effort and money into the car, it could all have been blown to pieces (literally) through what seems like a rushed (and possibly impatient..?) moment.

I'm glad he didn't decide to "give it a go" to see if he could run with the car and software because it only takes a microsecond for it to all go pearshaped.

I hope you reign in your desire to get the car sorted quickly (believe me - after so long I know all you want to do is get it running to it's full potential) and just either leave it alone for a bit if the current setup is frustrating you, or be a bit more patient and wait for Hitman to sort you out properly.

All good things come to those who wait - Megan has tied you to the bedposts for a reason.... it just makes the moment more special when you reach it....

... and I certainly wouldnt want to blow prematurely in either case!! :w00t:

Got word from Matt today that he's back in the office on Thursday and we'll organise a date for a tune soon  He's not sure when at this time as his Mrs had an emergency caeser and he might be kept home a bit longer than expected to help her out. All is good in the hood, I can wait for him too

UPDATE:

The latest addition to the coupe just arrived thanks to a very kind T4G member who organised them for me :)

These are for the front brake setup only at this stage and the rears will come at a later date.

The EBC Green Stuff pads worked well on my wife's old car so thought Id give them a try on the coupe.

I must say the RDA's are a pretty weighty and beefy construction with better ventilation than the stock items by looks of it

Thanks to Frankie who came around today and helped me flush the brake fluid system and fit the new stoppers up front :)

We took the car out for a spin straight afterward and had the fronts smoking after a few go to woah's to help bed the pads in

Will see what happens when the coating on the pads wears off as I cant really provide much feedback on them being so new.

In the meantime my white wheels are getting coated in brake dust
