Na Matt tuned mine on 98 BP Ultimate. I know because I filled the tank up before I handed it over. Yep, passed the IM240 with the 280's in it and 510cc EVO injectors. Remember, my engine was fresh and it had a brand new O2 sensor and ceramic core cat converter too. It was the run in tune with 4500rpm limiter with a GT3082 0.82 huffer. The turbo wasnt even barely spooling (4psi I think) when on the rollers to the test rpm levels. On the first run it exactly equalled the 0.93 THC levels and didnt look like passing, but on the second run the THC levels dropped significantly to 0.52 once the O2 and ceramic cat were hot enough to work properly. Matt didnt think they would pass either but the results are proof that it can happen. Matt did the first run in tune and then the removal of the rev limiter. Since then Ive fitted a wideband and taken it to another tuner where we ran out of injector and spark at 393hp atw. Now Im fitting the GTX3076R and other bits as described in this thread. If I have to undergo another test the car will go on E85 and make more power than what it does now... simple as that... win/win lol :)

I think there is some advantages with a larger turbo, as it's not at +psi at any time during the im240.
It is good news that the 280s passed.
I am confident my 2.4 with gt35 would pass, though I think we need only a 4 gas analysis here because there in only 1 im240 tester over here.

mmmm.... Summit Racing delivery came in to upgrade my hard fuel line feed and fittings :)
I recommend dealing with them 100%. It only took 1 week to get here through i-parcel and their service is very professional.
I had to make a change to my order and it was made easy via their website online live chat session with a sales rep... sorted it out no problem.

OK, engine is out, gearbox off, timing case is off, sump off, cams out, waterpump off, oooohhhh yeah, Im in the thick of it now :)
Pretty much got everything now except the camshafts... grrr.... waiting on Kelford to restock some suppliers lol.

Good luck with the fuel lines! What made you buy from them? Why not go local? Speed flow fittings would be the best imo..

It should be easy enough to make up the lines Baz. I have a handheld pipe tube bender and a proper AN 37 degree flaring tool for the hard line ends ;)
With the OEM 1.5 carby fuel feed line removed (hahahaha yes.... it still had it in place with 300kw atw boys!!!) it will make it easier to clone the new alloy tubing side by side with it. Ill make the new line a bit longer so it comes up the firewall in the engine bay a bit more, plus make it longer in the rear end to have it go up and over closer to the fuel cradle for easier access under the inspection plates.
Summit are a BIG supplier in the US and the gear came in a kit which made it easier to shop. Plus I got some extra parts for my return line fittings and fuel cradle bulkhead. Including postage it worked out to just under $200 delivered! I cant get that kind of value here for the same parts :)
Oh trust me, Ive already spent about $1200 worth of Earls (8AN engine bay fuel lines and fittings) and Proflow parts (10AN oil cooler and relocation lines and fittings). Honestly, some of the parts are way overpriced. You pay for the name, the packaging and the pretty colours that they come in. As long as you dont mix brand names together for a connection or overtighten the fittings they all do their job :)

Makes sense if it came as a kit. I thought you bought the items individually. I know how much of a pain it is to buy these items and find that they are the wrong angle or wrong thread etc. I find no matter how much you plan or measure, there is always at least one revisit for one more part.

Speedflow are the best indeed. Much better than earls. Never used pro flow. But you do end up with a big hole in your wallet after any decent purchase.

So did you end up going -6AN or -8AN fuel lines for the length of the car Rob?

Hi Shayne, 6AN buddy. It was a good price for the kit and I don't think I'll need the extra expense and flow of 8AN (1/2"). The stock GL carby hard fuel line wasnt the limiting factor when we hit that 80% injector DC and stopped tuning. Just to be on the safe side Im removing the oem restrictions and tubing and stepping up one size bigger to 6AN which should do with 1000cc injectors. Bigger always seems better for future mods but its more expensive, doesn't bend as well plus probably not needed depending on your application. If I had a stroker on E85 running big injectors and 30psi then it'll be a different story lol... 8an would have been purchased instead.

Hmmm..... Stroker (check), on E85 (check), running big injectors (check) and 30psi (hopefully!!!)..... I'll have to see how I go with my -6AN lines!!!

The engine was hitting 100psi oil pressure when at high rpm, due to the removal of the balance shafts when it was rebuilt.
Therefore today I finally did what I've been meaning to do for ages... port the oil filter housing to help reduce the oil pressure a bit.
Things are soooo much easier to do when the engine is already out of the car lol.

I need to do this also, probably should do it a bit now before the engine is in.
I have no balance shafts or oil squirters......might have 200psi lol

So it's just the one hole that needs porting?

Yep, just the one hole Shayne, but dont port it out larger than the piston.

I had the sump off too and took pics of the internals.
Everything is in good order and looks beautiful.
But it has only done approx 3,500kms on Castrol Edge and 500kms on Penrite HPR10 lol.
You can see a VR4 squirter in one of the pics.
How come you took your squirters out George?

I did it so I have more (consistant) oil pressure to the thrust bearing, and no chance of the squirter failing. (small I know)
But I have ceramic coated the crowns of the pistons to reduce the piston temps also.
