If you own a VR4 engine, the EVO dipstick FULL mark is lower than the VR4 FULL mark, which means you arent putting enough oil in the VR4 sump.
If you own a EVO engine, the VR4 dipstick FULL mark is higher than the EVO FULL mark, which means you are over flooding your Evo sump with oil.

The dipstick tubes are the same part number for the GVR4 and EVO.
But the dipsticks themselves are different in length by 5mm because the EVO sump and GVR4 sump are different.

Lengths are ....
VR4 = 500mm full length of disptick from tip to tip (including handle)
EVO = 495mm full length of disptick from tip to tip (including handle)

VR4 = 455mm from the stopper to the tip of the disptick.
EVO = 450mm from the stopper to the tip of the disptick.

OK, used the Speedflow fire sleeve on my turbo oil return line as its pretty close to the dump pipe/ external wastegate return.
I found that I had to go one size up to make it fit past the fittings. ie. my 8AN oil return line needed a 10AN sleeve.
Also swapped out the old red oil filter relocation hoses for blue 10AN Speedflow (Gates) 400 series pushlock hose and fittings, but I needed to use 12AN sleeving to fit over it for protection.

The Goodridge braided clutch line came in a few days ago (dark blue). They had to make it and pressure test it which caused a bit of a delay.
It states date of manufacture as 15th April 2013
Ive already bled the fkn clutch cause they were taking theyre sweet ass time sending it to me. Looks like Ive got something to do on the weekend lol

lol Baz... not for me anymore mate. I have to take it easy for a while and I like my day job too much anyway lol.
I will have my brother next to me when building his engine and gearbox soon to pass on what I can... that way one day he can build things for me

love the build mate, any idea how these coupes compare weight wise with the EVO 123? also do these things come out factory 4WD in australia as ive got a spare 4g63 motor and box lying around that i would love to put in one of these
just cant for the life of me find any reference to a 4WD one here in NZ
