lol cheers boys. Yep, final hurdle was rego and it was done today!! woohooo. Fully engineered and 99% street legal (hey, a couple of things just cant be helped lol :w00t:)

Feels really good. Turns on a dime and steers and handles beautifully. The clutch needs adjusting and bleeding, gearbox rebuild is very tight and clicky and a bit slow to change into gear at the moment (feels like a dogbox shifting as it just locks into place), and looks like I'll be up for replacing the rear diff as getting a whine (bearings) from it at around 95km/h+. I put new fluid in it but its still there. I had a mech LSD rear lined up to buy but the sale fell through  so thats on the cards again.

Had a bit of a play with the Varex open/closed and BOV open/closed and fark me when the Varex and BOV are both open they're fkn loud!! :w00t: Im getting some decent ventage at 3800rpm  Cant wait to get it back to Hitman to remove the 4000rpm limit and chuck the car up on Haltech's AWD dyno!!! :w00t:)

Apart from the LSD rear Im eager to get the new front bar and sideskirts on, some Dynamt Xtreme matting under the bonnet because its soaking up a lot of heat from the exhaust manifold sitting very close to it, and peel off the old window tint for some new 15%

A little message to my T4G friends:

To all the boys who know what its like to live, breathe and pour your heart and soul into a project car, then watch the months turn into years as they pass in the blink of an eye, please dont ever lose sight of your goals. I know what its like to lose hope, to lose direction and to lose faith in your own ability; But believe me the tug-of-war between building your car and the decisions you have to face in life along the way (house, kids, etc) is not worth the regret of not following through with your dreams. There IS a light at the end of the tunnel and you owe it to yourself, with focus and determination, to push through and reach each personal goal one step at a time. The reward when looking back at your own personal journey/achievement/development is bliss that you will take with you til your dieing day  Right now I'm sitting back content that 'I finally did it'.... and that my friends is a feeling I cant describe :w00t:

Some of you might know that I've gone through a lot in my life - more than what I could possibly ever write about in these pages. Those people would know just how much seeing this project through means to me and share my triumph. Thankyou

Anyhow, I heard a song recently by Miley Cyrus called 'The Climb' (yeah I know, I wish it was somebody else who sang it but she does it so well :) ). Well it pretty much sums it all up with lyrics that could mean so many things to so many different people. Please take the time out to listen to it sometime.

Rob

top work mate...
"love the beast" this clearly has been your camp fire...

the camp fire in our group has gone out recently... i want to send what you have written to my mate that has his project.
but for the same reasons that the project has died, we are barely speaking.... :(

The coupe is awesome, i'd love to see this in the flesh one day.

congrats Rob! Through this project you managed to help so many other enthusiasts like you, by passing on information that you experienced and learned whilst building your car.
And not to mention inspired heaps of people, especially here and on the evocoupe forums!

So you didn't ONLY finish your project, you helped many others along the way :thumbsup:!

Infact I remember when i first got my car and jumped on evocoupe some 3 1/2 years ago, you and your bro guided me on how to remove my rear bar

Frankie you're a shit stirrer lol  The only chick flicks I watch are those when there's two chicks involved! In fact, I'm sire you still have a box of mine at your place!! bwahaha :w00t:
Alex - I'm humbled by your words mate.... and fark, you've come a long way since then too!! You're doing a great job on your own car
Still a little bit of work to go to get it the way I want. Aesthetically will be happy once the front bar and skirts go on. And I finally have arranged for a mech rear LSD from NZ to come in for $275AU + postage (thankyou Dirk!!) woohoo!
