The 4G63 motor code is street shorthand for dominance. It's automotive Darwinism.

I didn't leave there 100% satisfied that my perception of value for money in regards to labor had been met, given what was done to my car. This is only my opinion and is based on my experience and my feelings.

Yep, that's correct Jon. The work was done as requested and done well (as far as I can tell), but the labor costs incurred were, in my opinion, a little unfair. I feel that I paid for time that I shouldn't have had to, because the job took longer than anticipated owing to 'problems' that as far as I'm concerned didn't (and don't!) exist with my car.

I didn't see your car there Richard - what are you getting done (or are you now driving one of the EVOs I saw there!? :D )

you do know that techsport dont build motors or do any porting work? mainly just maintenance.. they contract that work and also gearbox rebuilding off.

I'm not complaining about having to pay labor costs to have a workshop do work for me. That's business. As per above, I feel that the overall amount of money I paid was unfair, given that, as per above, I feel I paid for 'diagnosis' of a 'problem' that as far as I was (and still am) concerned didn't (and doesn't) exist with my car. I was also unimpressed with the attitude shown when I questioned the amount of money I had to pay given the amount of labor hours I was billed for.

I ended up going to RE Customs (formerly EvolutionR) and spoke to Ray there. He's going to set the timing for me and do a dyno run to check air/fuel mixtures so that I know the thing isn't going to lean out or grenade on me when I put my foot down.

So is it just a body-kitted Lancer FWD sedan that's been mangled pretty badly?
