Firstly, I read this

38 is a sweet fit but the most popular and easier to find offset is 40 which has no dramas with up to 215/17's

Then this

Sooooo... if someone with an EVO 2/3 wanted to fit some deep dish wheels then they could fit an EVO1/GSR K-frame and get that 7mm each side extra clearance inside the front guards AND, if someone had widebody fenders they can fit EVO 2/3 K-frame and get that extra 7mm stick out to fill in the guards.... learn something new everyday I tell you lol

Now..........what im asking is

1. What is the standard offset for an Evo 3?
2. What is the standard offset for a Gsr Lancer?

If i know these variables, I'll be able to work out most of the stuff for myself, however, my main reason for asking is, a while ago, a mate of mine with a gsr had a really neat wheel setup on his GSR, its the same setup i want to run with the E3, but if the lower arm position is different between evo and Gsr then im chasing my tail

the wheel is 19x7.5 @+42, and it fit his GSR well, ad didnt scrub, im wanting to know if this will bolt up to the E3 and sit in the same spot...so to speak..

Below is a pic, my mates Gsr with 19x7.5 +42

Cheers, any help appreciated!

Jamie.

Is that Andrews old GSR??

And yes it should sit in the same spot as his GSR

The rears widths are the same afaik between the GSR and the EVO, its just the fronts, but im sure the wider EVO guards compensate for the wider front base

I guess I'll soon find out

I went and ordered rims today

19x7.5 +42.

And its going lowwwww

so i hope it fits

Guard rolling i assume will be neccessary yeah?

rear guards will definitely have to be rolled.

yep rolled guards at the rear at least, they will look good if they fit.

did your mates car scrub when turning at the front?

dont know what the handling will be like with them on though.

Apparently not, it didnt scrub

Your likely right, the fukn rubber bands im gonna end up with will probly amplify every single notch in the road....anyway...
I think ill end up with 215/35/19

there goes the perfect handling Mitsu designed into the car, its a big price to pay just for looks in my books

I definately wouldnt have gone for anything bigger than 17s on the Evo!

Its a nice balance between handling and looks....

But at the end of the day its your ride!
