Its not boost that does damage, its detonation. Every motor is different- depending how its setup, and how efficient the setup is, you can calculate how much boost you can run before its starts to detonate (cause damage). This is generally done by having a wide-band 02 sensor inserted somehwere into the exhaust of your car, measuring air/fuel ratio.
Have a good read of this:

Its also when you over rev the 93t and the big end grabs the bearing and crank, spins it then the rod goes out the block. OR the piston pin breaks and the rod also goes through the block....higher then 14-15psi doesnt help either...........

yer agreed my 93t is running on 12psi no problems
but 93ts problem is that the rods snap or the gudgeon till snaps
its not boost thats the problems its the heat thats the problem and the more boost you run the more heat you have soo 14-15 is as much as you want
and as dre said detonation is also a problem there

Damn forum post!
Ill try again.
Hello fellow North QLDer.
Whos Gsr did you buy?
The most I have run is 14-15 ish on the tdo4 and its useless going any higher as you will just blow out a lot of hot air!
I had an AVO cooler and piping with a 3 inch exhaust though, as do most gsrs by now. These days most will either have a 2.5 or 3 inch system.
Take a look at my members rides thread and perhaps you can start your own.....say hi in our intro thread as well!

14-15 should be fine with a good cooler just dont rev over 7000rpm even with a tdo5 16g it is pushing it with the stock injectors. would recomend running 510cc's.
Dane and Daves dodgy deals and rare spares.
Oil lights are like oven alarms......they tell you when it's cooked
Green GSR.......sold VR4 AMG........sold Grey GSR still under the house.
