ok im about to put a jspec facelift front bar onto my aspec
i have picked up some amber corner lights and i want to run the fogs in the bar
does any1 have a link or can help me out with the light rewiring.
i want to run hi/low headlights, fogs, no parking lights and use the corner lights as indicators - or should i just leave the original aspec corner lights in - these are split parkers and indicators.
hope some1 is not as confused as i am

aspecs don't have indicators on the corner lights, only have parkers, you will need some facelift jspec headlights or maybe GGSR ones, so that your car is still legal (parkers) i'm not sure about the wiring, i'm about to come to that bridge as well. you know you have to redrill the holes in the right angle bracket to fit the jspec bar to the aspec chassis. brisvr4 has pictures of where to drill

I just done all this!!
I even swapped the front fenders so I could have those little green J-Spec dooby lights (I love those - does anyone have any spare, mine are rusty ).
All of my lights are working sweet. Just gotta add another cct for the inside foglights (not the projector one) of the J-Spec foggies as A-Spec's only have one foglight.
Have you got all the pigtails/connectors? You will need those, it will make things alot easier. If you need some help give us a buzz. PM sent.

I have changed from aspec to jspec front on my vr4. Took me about fifteen minutes to wire up the parkers headlights and indicators all i did was re route the indicator wire from the front bar to the corner light, move parker wire from corner to behind headlight. Then i used a very small jewlers screw driver to to release the metal pins from their aspec plugs then moved them into the new jspec plugs. works fine. havent wired up fogs as of yet as im going to make my own circuit once i get around to it.

But it's good to be different. And with every single Aus spec turning into a J spec mock everyone will be driving the same thing...

do you blame us, those front bars are heavy and fugly
Yes they are certainly heavy, but it just needs a bit more 'intergration' to have them looking nice. Definitely change the rear bar to the j-spec, then you'll have a small butt out back & a big rack out front (just like a perfect gal )
Nate, get either MDK87 or dafurn to take a couple of snappies of what wires need to go where, then you'll have more of an idea of what's needed.

ive been told i can run amber globes in the outer section of the front fogs and wire them to my side indicators
woohoo saves heaps of time, money and effort and i can still keep my parkers in the corner lights and i dont have to put in amber corners or prefacelift headlights
1st i need to get the bar painted.

anyone know where to get a sexier looking rear bar for the a-spec? Can't find one anywhere in NSW for the life of me.

Hi guys, did the front bar swap a while back and re-wired the corners no worries
got a question re: wiring in prefacelift fogs into a-spec
how do i push out the wires from the a-spec loom clips? i got the j-spec wires out of their clips no worries as with corners above.
but i cant see into the connector to flick (i assume) the little tab in there. getting real frustrated!!! as i dont want to bust, the clip or tabs. any pearls of wisdom?
im just trying to go for the tidy, factory look-_-
also, i noticed my inner headlight is all wired up & plugged in with bulb etc but they no go. i thought on aspec vr4's they werent used only GGSR? since im running amber corners i have no parkers, thought i could also use the stock stuff?
ta guys

you will need to use jspec headlights or GGSR headlights, aspecs don't have parkers in the headlight.
you can get the stock wiring out of the fuse box, but you need to get at it from the bottom i'm pretty sure. MDK87 will know for sure as he did mine.
