it can be frustrating at times.
i never went on much except when i was looking for a borg a while back. everyone seems to mention that there was a wealth of information on there.. before you pull the site is there any chance that we can upload this info onto team4g.
unfortunately as mitsi enthusiasts we don't really have the luxury of information being everywhere, so it would be nice if we can keep the info rather than just lose it and hope someone can help us out in the future.

I copied a couple of posts and gave them to Dane. Theres like a 15 page thread of my Mirage build but i'm not sure how to go about shifting a whole thread if its even possible.

OH
MY
GOD
Have you even read this thread? I answered on this very page! HOW STUPID ARE YOU?!!
People wonder why I get frustrated.
Hahah got you there, you sure are easy to trigger
4g93.net forum wasn't very active in the end. I know how you feel, I made a forum myself for colts in holland, and I just don't have the time to maintain it. I think I should pull the plug out of that as well..

Let me look into it. It'd be great if we could shift your thread over! I suspect I'd need the old database - do you know if it's big?I copied a couple of posts and gave them to Dane. Theres like a 15 page thread of my Mirage build but i'm not sure how to go about shifting a whole thread if its even possible.

Up to you, who knows how long it'll be before I can get my hands on the db.
Anyhoo, since I posted this on EvoCoupe, better post it here too. Further explanation of my desicion to axe the forum:
Missile hit the nail on the head, I started the forum to be a technical resource - not a 'club' for idiots to talk about the most simplistic of things. Hell one guy had his turbo welded WELDED to his exhaust manifold!!! This sort of stuff became increasingly frustrating for me to read as time went on. There were several triggers that finally pushed me to close it.
- Misuse/abuse of the classifieds section. To begin with I was dead against a For Sale section at all, I wanted a tech focus, not a place for people to sign up, sell their wares and then piss off. I made the compromise to have it, subject to a few rules which were constantly ignored to the point where I was deleting non confrming posts on a daily basis. PM's were common from people demanding to be excused from having to stick to the rules for rediculous reasons.
- Time: I am a shift worker. 4 on (2 days, 2 nights), 4 days off. I work 12 hour days and have two cars to work on. I'm getting old and grumpy and simply can't be arsed with some young twats talking about BOVs and screamers.
- Several Tech posts and FAQs I spent AGES researching and writing were directly plagerised word for word on a Malaysian GSR forum that cropped up not long after I started 93T.net. I was careful to include credits for any info I had sourced, all of which was removed and the person who ripped it all off posted it as if it was their own. Poor Form.
- "evil red": This little *Insert expletives here* packed a shit at me for not spoonfeeding every detail about my Mirage build in my thread. This was the point where I pretty much decided I was just going to let the domain expire until some more PMs pushed me over the edge to axe it right away.
Basicly I consider 4G93T.net a spectacular failure and am very surprised people say it was a "good" forum. The info will remain to available to myself until November at which point the forum will dissappear completely. If anyone has any vital info in private messages they would like to retrieve, contact me and I will arrange a time to open the forum up for you to access it.

It's a damn shame to see all of this has happened to you and made you a little bitter.
Your forum is what made me decide to stick with the 4G93T and and see if I could do some of the things other people have done with theirs plus a little extra and find out what this awesome engine can do.
I spent over a year converting a CC Executive into what I would say is as close to and EVO III as oyu can get, only to watch it get written off while on the back of a trailer in transit.
Bought an original CC GSR as a replacement, was thinking of chaning motors and saw your forum. All I can say is the EVO motor is now missing a few bits lol.
Thanks for being an inspiration, and from my own trial and error I hope to help someone else out in the future, through this forum if possible.
Cheers,
Nathan
