yeah I was pissed that I'm forced to rebuild and not get the parts together first.

My prob is that I drive the car every day, it's my daily transport so just difficult that's all

It will get some basic mods hoping to get some solid 250-280 kw atw.

Mmmm...nothing like a good caramel thickshake to break the heart! :(

I vote DON"T buy a cheap run around, but just grab some eagles/wiseco's or eagles/JE's and throw them in with new bearings, oil pump, water pump, VRS, belts and a head service.

I like buying Aust the same as the next person, but there is some BARGAINS from the US atm with the FX the way it is.

yeah the rod on the outside looks ordinary but may be ok. It appears to have some carbon build up on it but the hot spot and mark on the end of the rod may be of some concern. I'll be getting them all checked all the same though. Looking at what I have here at worst I believe I'll be looking to buy one rod.

Here are some close pics of the said rod...

Can you send me your bank details again as I can't find them since the forum dropped out a while ago.

Cheers

I got myself a Turbo Diesel 4Runner. I will be a good tow car I recon.

The toyota will be rego'd this week so then it will be time to start on the EVO
